About Glenbrook Aviary

Glenbrook Aviary is located in Southern Oregon between Grants Pass and Roseburg on the South Umpqua river. Our adventure in aviculture began with a few finches in a flight cage in our sun room. Five years later, the plants have been relocated and the sunroom is home to many flight cages and breeding cages.

We maintain 10-14 breeding pair of lady gouldian finches every season along with several pair of shafttails and star finches. With all the natural light in our sun room, our birds are on Australian time, which means they breed for us from October to April. We usually have a variety of gouldian finches availiable in all head colors and a limited supply of mutations in yellows and blues. If you are looking for a particular color combination or mutation, let us know and we will glady inform you of when one is avaliable.

Over the years our aviary has evolved into a real family project. My wife assists with keeping me organized, compiling breeding records and getting us ready for each bird show. My youngest son helps me feed and water the birds, and my daughter built and maintains this web site.
